Research & scope

A growing checklist, with the evidence attached.

Last reviewed October 8, 2026. Includes FCBD and Special Edition #0 homage covers, including announced NYCC editions. Different artwork is a separate entry; foil, virgin, sketch, and color treatments using the same composition are grouped as editions. Artist credits, print runs, and source references are checked against retailer listings, artist announcements, and collector indexes.

Some retailers confirm a homage without naming the exact source issue or image. Those records say so. Collector-reported limits and preorder dates remain labeled; a listed date does not establish that copies have shipped.

Additional leads under review: Kirkham’s earlier Spectral Rabbit edition is described by his store as a Clayton Crain homage, but the precise source cover remains unidentified. The new ComicTom NYCC Battle Damage cover is a separate drawing: social announcements and eBay presales document the edition, but no homage target has been established. Both remain outside the confirmed homage count.
