A career in context

Kevin Delgado is a Buffalo, New York-based cartoonist and comic cover artist. His official site presents both cover and interior artwork, while Baltimore Comic-Con’s guest biography identifies work for Image Comics, IDW, and Dynamite Entertainment. Titles listed in that biography include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Godzilla, and Vampirella.

His background also includes independent storytelling. In a 2019 interview with Buffalo Rising, Delgado discussed Volantis, a graphic novel project he illustrated and co-wrote, and his publishing outlet Solstice Art. That interview provides an account of his development as an independent creator before the more recent exclusive-cover credits collected here.

Delgado’s Dungeon Crawler Carl work includes retailer-exclusive covers for Black Saber Comics. The retailer explicitly credits him on Fallout, Spawn, and DOOM homage designs for Special Edition #0 and its second printing. These assignments show a cover practice that includes visual references to both comic imagery and games.
