The original cover
The whole future is written on the wall.
John Byrne and Terry Austin placed an older Wolverine and Kate Pryde beneath a grid of wanted posters that quietly accounts for an entire fallen team.
The composition is inseparable from “Days of Future Past,” but its documented development runs through an Ed Hannigan concept sketch inspired by Paul McCartney and Wings’ Band on the Run—not the earlier Wonder Woman #108 wanted-poster cover sometimes proposed online.
CoverLineage counts a new entry when the core drawing changes. Trade dress, virgin, foil, black-and-white, reprint, and foreign editions using the same artwork remain attached to one record.
