The original cover
Erica Slaughter, unmistakable.
A small figure stands beneath looming trees and scattered pairs of eyes. Abandoned bicycles frame the scene. Later artists borrow the forest composition or reinterpret identified variants of the debut issue.
James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera’s BOOM! Studios series launched September 4, 2019. Dell’Edera drew Cover A, with Giovanna Niro providing cover colors. Issue #1 variant-cover homages are included with their individual targets named.
Distinct redraws receive separate records, including newly illustrated facsimile variants. Trade dress, virgin, sketch, foil and metal treatments of one drawing stay together as related editions. Straight reprints of the original artwork are not counted as new homages.

A growing lineage.
The starter spreadsheet was checked against publishers, creator pages, retailer exclusives, collector indexes and exact cover images. Edition limits are attributed to their sources. Base issue dates are distinguished from exclusive shipping dates.
Golden Apple’s Ivan Tao connecting foil refers to Walking Dead second-print covers and is excluded. Prey for the Sinner #2’s exact edition and Enter the House of the Hunt’s precise target remain research leads. Unknown details are labeled, and pure reprints of existing artwork do not inflate the homage count.
