Artist catalog & profile
Salva Espín
A Spanish artist whose expressive action and comic timing have made him one of Deadpool’s most closely associated modern artists.
Artist Profile
A career in context
Salva Espín studied fine art and animation at the Polytechnic University of Valencia before joining Marvel in 2008. His credits grew across Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man, the X-Men, and especially Deadpool.
He continues to work across Marvel’s print and digital lines, including Marvel Rivals, X-Men ’97, and Star Wars projects, while also developing personal work and participating in comics education and live-art events.
CoverLineage noteEspín brings comic timing to homage. The pose is treated as a setup whose payoff comes through character behavior, visual exaggeration, and a willingness to let the new subject disrupt the original’s seriousness.
