Artist catalog & profile
Philip Tan
A Filipino artist and world-builder whose muscular line has carried projects for Image, Marvel, DC, and Frank Miller Presents.
Artist Profile
A career in context
Philip Tan began his career with the creator-owned Taleweaver, which was picked up by WildStorm/DC in 2001. He went on to draw Spawn, Uncanny X-Men, Iron Man, Green Lantern, The Outsiders, and Batman and Robin.
His recent work includes Ronin Book II with Frank Miller Presents and Marvel projects connected to Wolverine, Venom, and its Black, White & Blood line.
CoverLineage noteTan’s homages emphasize construction. Anatomy, costume, and shadow lock together into a dense silhouette that preserves the source while making it feel heavier and more aggressive.
