Paco Medina

Comic-book penciller and cover artist with a substantial Marvel bibliography, including New X-Men, Deadpool, Nova and Spider-Boy.

Artist Profile

A career in context

Paco Medina is a comic-book artist whose Marvel work spans team books, solo superhero series and variant covers. Marvel’s published credits document his participation in the 2005 X-Men: Age of Apocalypse one-shot, while the publisher’s later issue listings identify him as both a penciller and cover artist on different projects. His bibliography includes New X-Men, Deadpool, Nova, Legendary Star-Lord and U.S.Avengers.

In 2023, Marvel announced Medina as the artist joining writer Dan Slott on Spider-Boy’s first ongoing solo series. The publisher’s preview of the debut displayed his interior storytelling, while identifying Humberto Ramos as the series’ principal cover artist. Subsequent Spider-Boy issues also include Medina variants, so his role on the title covers both sequential pages and selected cover illustrations.

Medina’s work continued across other Marvel properties: the publisher credits him with the pencils and inks for Venom #251, released in November 2025, in collaboration with writer Al Ewing. Marvel separately lists Carlos Gomez for that issue’s cover. Keeping those roles distinct provides a clearer view of Medina’s career than treating every book he draws as a cover credit.
