Artist Profile
A career in context
Nick Dragotta co-created East of West with writer Jonathan Hickman at Image Comics, following their collaboration on FF at Marvel. His Marvel work also includes X-Statix and stories featuring Captain America, Spider-Man, and the X-Men.
Dragotta’s creator-owned bibliography includes Ghost Cage and the educational comics project Howtoons. In the CoverLineage archive, he is also represented by Absolute Batman #1, which serves as the source image for a growing collection of homages.
CoverLineage noteDragotta occupies both sides of the archive: his Absolute Batman #1 is a source cover, while other entries place his work within existing lineages. This makes his profile a useful route between originals and reinterpretations.
