Artist Profile
A career in context
Mike Choi’s Marvel work includes X-23: Target X, made with writers Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost and colorist Sonia Oback. That series forms part of his sustained association with Laura Kinney and the wider X-Men line.
Choi also provided the cover for the 2018 X-23 #1, with cover colors by Jesus Aburtov. His representative describes a practice that includes traditional oil and acrylic painting as well as digital work over pencils, alongside assignments for Marvel, DC, Image, and AWA.
CoverLineage noteThe X-23 variant of Uncanny X-Men #1 gives Choi a place in the Spider-Man #1 lineage. Its connection to Laura Kinney makes it a useful companion to his sequential and cover work on her own series.
