Artist Profile

A career in context

Jimmie Robinson came to comics after commercial-art work, first self-publishing before joining Image Comics. He is best known as the creator, writer, and artist of Bomb Queen, Five Weapons, The Empty, and Power Lines.

A 2015 Inkpot Award recipient, Robinson continues to develop creator-owned work. His more recent Image series Junk Rabbit extends his interest in genre stories viewed from the perspective of the communities living inside them.

CoverLineage noteRobinson’s homage covers feel authored rather than assigned. He borrows the visual invitation of a famous pose, then redirects attention toward his own characters and independent publishing identity.
