Artist catalog & profile
Javier Garrón
A self-taught Spanish artist whose architecture-trained eye supports some of Marvel’s most energetic contemporary storytelling.
Artist Profile
A career in context
Javier Garrón studied architecture while teaching himself comics, spending years developing samples and meeting editors before breaking into the industry. Work for DC preceded his 2014 Marvel debut on Cyclops.
Marvel later named him one of its Young Guns after projects including Secret Warriors, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man. His recent work includes the Ultimates and Marvel’s expanding Godzilla line.
CoverLineage noteGarrón understands the geometry beneath a famous cover. His staging preserves that structural clarity while elastic acting and movement keep the result from feeling diagrammatic.
