Artist Profile
A career in context
Darick Robertson began drawing his independently published Space Beaver while still in high school. He moved through independent publishers into assignments for DC and Marvel, including Justice League, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and a substantial run on New Warriors.
Robertson co-created Transmetropolitan with Warren Ellis, The Boys with Garth Ennis, and Happy! with Grant Morrison. His work on those projects combines character creation with sustained visual storytelling, and his official biography also discusses his involvement with screen adaptations of his creations.
CoverLineage noteThe Boys: Dear Becky #1 variant in this archive places Robertson’s own series within the Spider-Man #1 tradition. That connection gives readers a way to compare a borrowed cover structure with the identity of a creator-owned property.
