Artist Profile
A career in context
Alé Garza began publishing professionally as a teenager before joining WildStorm in La Jolla, California. His early work included Gen13, DV8, Stormwatch, and WildC.A.T.s, followed by DC assignments on Batgirl, Supergirl, and Teen Titans.
Garza’s career also includes Spider-Man and X-Men work, the Ninja Boy project, and Fathom for Aspen Comics. Beyond printed comics, he has worked in animation and game development, including character work for DC Universe Online and concept art at Cryptic Studios. These credits connect his comic-book drawing with a broader character-design practice.
CoverLineage noteZoo Jitsu Fighters #2 brings Garza into the Spider-Man #1 archive. Its placement here follows the cover’s composition rather than its publisher or characters, showing how a superhero image can travel into another visual world.
