Wolverine #1 (1982) collection

Weapon X #1 — Wolverine #1 Homage

Standard cover

Georges Jeanty recasts Frank Miller’s Wolverine #1 with Sabretooth’s menacing grin and beckoning hand. A shadowed, grinning Weapon X figure with metal claws raised on one side and the other hand beckoning with the 'come on' finger restages Frank Miller's Wolverine #1 composition. GoCollect's Wolverine #1 homage guide lists this cover as an early homage. GCD credits Georges Jeanty with pencils and inks, identifies Sabretooth, and explicitly identifies the Wolverine (1982) #1 homage. Direct and newsstand editions share the artwork.
